What are the working methods?

The internship at Travelmania is based at teamwork. The different projects are distributed depending on our interns interests and skills. Communication between the project teams increases creativity and a comfortable working climate.

What happens during the first days of the internship?

During the first days of the internship we provide an introduction of the company´s activities and explain how touristic service-marketing works. After a short individual assignment our interns will start with the team-based projects.

What are the projects?

The projects always meet the companies current demands and consist of a range of business areas like product and service design, R&D, project management, marketing, service management and translations.

What do you learn during the internship?

Travelmania offers education in many areas of marketing and service management. Through our hands-on policy with flat hierarchies our interns have the possibility to apply their theoretical knowledge in the real business world and incorporate their ideas in the enterprise. You will learn about business start-ups, activities in an innovative travel agency, team based innovation, communication in an international company.

The internships at Travelmania are designed for young adults who want to deepen their business-knowledge and apply their knowledge in the field of marketing and management.

Our internships take place in Europe (Spain, France, Italy) from July to October.
Our internships in Australia and Mexica take place in February and March.

Do you offer long-term internships?

Travelmania offers long-term internships for a selected number of applicants. These usually take place in Austria with a maximum of two months in another European country. These long-term internships are usually given to the best participants of our work&study programs.

Where do the participating interns come from?

Our interns usually come from member states of the European Union. This year we are proud to welcome some colleagues from Brasil and South Africa.

Where do I live during the internship?

Our standard accommodation are usually double-rooms in an apartment shared with other group members. Please let us know if you wish to stay in a single room, hotel or with a host family.

How does the daily routine look like?

Language cours during the mornings and the international internship during the afternoon make the day fun and diverse.

What are the destinations of the internship?

We offer internships in Spain, Italy, France, Australia and Mexico. We are currently working on more destinations like for example Guadeloupe in the Caribbean sea.

For how long have you been offering the work&study program and how were the experiences?

This program has been offered in this form since spring 2009. Experience has shown that our interns can contribute substantially to our company´s success through their creativity and innovativeness. Feedbacks and opinions of previous interns can be accessed in our international internship section.

What are the advantages of an internship at Travelmania?

Through our free-hand policy and our flat hierarchies our interns find perfect conditions to apply their creativity and strengths. We are open for new ideas and encourage our interns to think out of the box. Many of our intern´s projects are applied in our company during the internship.
Through direct interaction with our staff and young company founders our interns have the possibility to directly influence the company´s activities.
